TatianA Lahera Kalainoff

is a multidisciplinary designer, researcher + educator based in Brooklyn, NY.

She holds a BS in Architecure from the University of Virginia and recently completed a MS in Data Visualization at the Parsons School of Design, where she investigated the intersection of data, design, research, technology, fabrication and storytelling with a focus on equitable access to information, demystifying bureaucratic processes and providing opportunities for underrepresented voices to be heard.

Tati believes information is power, but it has little to no value without context and a compelling story.

She is a 2024 More Art’s Engaging Artist Fellow and her work has been exhibited in NY + VA at BRIC, Allen Street Gallery, and the Architecture School at The University of Virginia. She has over 10 years of experience in visual design, communications, strategy, and collaboration and is currently teaching at Parsons.

Growing up, Tatiana moved around a bunch and was brought up in a multiracial household (Filipino and German American). Being mixed race and a Third Culture Kid significantly shaped her design perspective and how she engages with the world.

She now resides in Brooklyn, NY with her dog Prudence.
